christmas happenings

merry christmas bcrcyg!! it's been so fun celebrating christ's birth with you all over the last couple of weeks! from snowflake lane to the christmas party to holiday concerts i've enjoyed this joyous time!

i pray that everyone has a wonderful and safe christmas! i'm excited to see what is in store for the group in 2014!

a bit late but happy thanksgiving! i am so thankful for each and everyone of you! so good to see a lot of you last wednesday for the evening service :)

last night was fall fun night!! the theme was disney! we gathered to eat pizza, play silly games, eat doughnuts hanging from the ceiling, and lots of candy!

Service.

this saturday the hs and jh gathered to do some work. manual labor. yup they took time on a saturday to do yard work. not for their parents, friends or grandparents but for a woman they barely know. 

we pulled up to the house around 11 on saturday morning. imagine seeing a house on the corner lot...lots of land...lots of weeds, lots of over grown bushes, trees, plants. it was overwhelming. we quickly divided up and got to work. i'm sorry i forgot to get before pictures!

we pulled weed after weed, trimmed trees, bushes, power washed...

fall thoughts

fall is here. cooler mornings, cooler evenings, cooler weather in general. fall colors appearing on the trees, bushes...the oranges, reds, yellows...i kind of love it. i love the thought of sweaters and jeans, warm snugly blankets at night, football games, pie, hot coffee (or chocolate if you prefer). its just plain great. everyone is back in school, falling into normal routines, youth group is regularly meeting again...it just feels good.

i look forward to us growing and changing this year. forward to each group laughing, discussing, playing, eating together. i see us serving others, loving others, and growing in faith.

i'm praying for each of you. that you would grow in your faith, grow in your relationships. grow physically, mentality, spiritually...

praying that this year we would open ourselves up to God and His plan for our lives. fully trusting that He knows what we need and what we should do.

praying for this journey. oh what a journey it will be. grateful that it's a journey i get to go on with each of you.
